Helm's Deep Housing Chest Changes

lotrogeek:

In my post about NDA being lifted yesterday, I completely forgot about the housing update we’re supposed to be getting. Here is a big change coming to housing that people need to know before the changes happen. This is one of the big changes that upsets me.

- You now buy space in your housing chest in increments of 15 slots with a price that goes up by 5x each time. This was tested on a Standard and Deluxe House.
15 Space = 1g = Total of 15
Next 15 = 5g = Total of 30
Next 15 = 25g = Total of 45
Next 15 = 125g or 100 mithril coins = Total of 60
No further slots available for Standard or Deluxe housing with coin.
Next 15 = 100 Mithril = Total of 75
Next 15 = 100 Mithril = Total of 90
Next 15 = 100 Mithril = Total of 105
Next 15 = 100 Mithril = Total of 120
It appears you can spend 100 mithril coins for more slots after this up to 120 in a Deluxe house.

Another change that might worry kin leaders, chests now work as vaults and currently, there is no way to control who has access to various “sub chests”. We don’t know if this is for sure yet, because obviously there are no kins that have reached the rank needed to buy a home/chest on beta.

Obviously, prices can change, though there have been zero dev/mod comments about the prices since they were introduced in beta so I doubt they’d lower the prices, especially after they tried to introduce that hobby horse mount for $50 then decided against it when they saw player reaction.

7 arrested for dissolving man’s body in Japan

breakingnews:

AFP: In a plot straight out of an episode of Breaking Bad, police in Japan have arrested 7 people for allegedly dissolving a body using chemicals found in drain cleaners.

The plot was uncovered when police discovered a dental implant linked to the man in a sewage tank.

i had three days off from work and i took a shower to kick things off and ended up braiding my hair like thorin oakenshield because why the fuck not

i took it out after three days because as cool as the king under the mountain is, he’s not dress-code compatible and i ended up looking like one of those silly dogs

so basically just imagine thorin looking like a silly dog whenever he takes his hair out of its little braids

AH, I HAVE DISCOVERED WHY I HATE YOUR GUTS.

He acts like Star Trek is no longer needed for its ability to address social issues, so now why not just turn it into a bright and shiny action flick and nothing else? Dizzy bastard.

He took a project on without really realizing what it meant to so many people. I’m not just talking about those “crazy” nerds that stand in lines at conventions for hours. I’m talking about Marton Luther King Jr., who begged Nichelle Nichols not to quit the show. I’m talking about the hundreds of men and women that joined the navy or airforce, worked in the space industry, or became astronauts because of Star Trek. He’s forgotten all those people. He didn’t have faith that Star Trek in its purest form could reach all people– because it never reached him. So he molded it into something very different to fit a societal standard of action movies that pervades Hollywood today.

He missed that mark. And he pats himself on the back for it.

“…Too philosophical for me.” ?

Now I know why I hate despise you: As l-d and taz said, you completely missed the point, yet for some reason you celebrate it.
